It should be no surprise that modern day couples end up in a rush when it comes to planning<\/strong><\/em><\/a> their wedding<\/strong><\/em>. According to research, 98 percent of couples are involved in the wedding-planning<\/strong><\/em><\/a> process. And why shouldn\u2019t they be? It\u2019s an important day that is a reflection of the both of them. I know things may vary from couple to couples, however I’ve decided to give you guys a heads up about some important tasks you need to get done with their timeline.<\/p>\n

1 Year Before
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n
1. Start\u00a0Your\u00a0Venue\u00a0Search- <\/strong>Event center,\u00a0ballroom\u00a0or\u00a0beach?\u00a0It\u2019s\u00a0time\u00a0for\u00a0you\u00a0and\u00a0your\u00a0partner\u00a0to\u00a0hunt\u00a0down\u00a0the perfect location.\u00a0 This\u00a0important\u00a0decision\u00a0sets\u00a0the\u00a0tone\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0rest\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0celebration,\u00a0not\u00a0to\u00a0mention what you’ll wear.

9-11 Months Before
\n<\/span><\/h3>\n

2. Choose your train<\/strong>– This is the time to select your groomsmen\/bridesmaids<\/strong><\/em> and which of them would get elevated to the best-man<\/strong><\/em> and <\/span>chief bridesmaid<\/strong><\/em> status. Think long and hard who you want to be by your side on your day and what each would be wearing. Start collecting inspirations for looks that complement, but won’t overshadow your own.<\/p>\n

3.<\/strong> Start selecting your vendors<\/strong>– Sourcing for the perfect vendors<\/strong><\/em><\/a> could be challenging but I would advise you start with your wedding-planner<\/a>. <\/strong><\/em>They would be of great help when selecting other vendors.<\/p>\n

6-8 Months Before<\/span><\/h3>\n

4. Finalize on your wedding look- <\/strong>At this point, you should know what you and your train [groomsmen\/bridesmaids<\/strong><\/em><\/span>] would be wearing.<\/p>\n

5. Alert your train-\u00a0<\/strong>It’s now time to notify your selected friends and also tell them what they would be wearing. Most preferably give them the wedding-shop<\/strong><\/em><\/a> or fashion outlet<\/strong><\/em><\/a> you want them to get their outfit.<\/p>\n

3-5 Months Before<\/span><\/h3>\n

6. Buy your wedding Rings- <\/strong>You\u2019ll be wearing them every day, so shop<\/em><\/strong><\/a> around for something that suits your style and consider if you\u2019d like to have them engraved.<\/p>\n

7. Book your Honeymoon<\/a> – <\/strong>It’s your first adventure as a married couple, so make it count. Now it’s time to book your flight or accommodation, so you don’t need to worry about it close to the wedding<\/em><\/strong>.

2<\/strong>-4 Months Before<\/span><\/h3>\n

8. Create your gift registry<\/a> – <\/strong>Believe it or not, 45% of the people you’re inviting will likely want to buy you a gift<\/strong>. So give them a little direction by starting a gift registry<\/a>. <\/strong><\/em>And it’s not all about pots and towels. These days you can register practically anything [even cash<\/strong><\/em><\/a>].<\/p>\n

9. Deploy your wedding-website<\/a><\/strong> – When planning your wedding, sharing your love story<\/a> and pre-wedding pictures<\/strong><\/em> with friends and family is really FUN.<\/p>\n

10. Send out your invitation<\/a><\/strong> – By now your guest list should be ready. I advise you work with paper invites<\/strong><\/em><\/a> for the older guests [less tech savvy guests] and e-invite<\/strong><\/em><\/a> for the younger guests [tech savvy guests]. Note that your invitation should have a description to your wedding-website<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and gift registry<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

1<\/strong> week Before<\/span><\/h3>\n

11. Try on your dress<\/strong> – There is a cliche that couples tend to either increase or decrease in size before their day. With this in mind it is advisable to go for your last dress fitting<\/strong><\/em> at this time.<\/p>\n
